AI transparency in ads
Within GenAI ads transparency, I work on the advertiser experience in Ads Manager, automated detection of first and third party GenAI tool disclaimers, the self-disclosure label system, and the AI information people can open on Instagram and Facebook ads, including the special cases for social issues, elections, and politics.

Why am I seeing this ad?
“Why am I seeing this ad?” is Meta’s consumer-facing ad transparency tool, reachable from the three-dot menu on any ad on Facebook and Instagram, explaining why a given ad reached you and what you can do about it. Covered in Meta’s newsroom.
Exact details are confidential.
WhatsApp monetization
Ad and business surfaces coming to WhatsApp, in the Updates tab alongside Status and Channels.

Youth ads
The ad experience is one part of the broader youth experience on Meta’s apps, one piece of a larger effort across teen surfaces to keep the product feeling like a coherent whole. Exact details are confidential.
Ads Manager
Ads Manager is the advertiser’s starting point for running ads across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Audience Network. I work across its layers, from account-level settings down to ad-level optimizations: age and location targeting, AI transparency, special ad categories, youth ads, and campaign optimizations among them.

Events Manager
Events Manager is where advertisers connect and manage the data behind their campaigns, the pixel and conversions that tell them whether an ad worked. It sits alongside Ads Manager in the same advertiser suite, and I work on parts of it in the same responsibility and privacy context.
